All About Me

As I  near the end of my first year in secondary education, I have grown an even deeper appreciation towards teaching. I grew up in Eyebrow, Saskatchewan and was very close with my teachers and peers. Being in a small town, many of my teachers were parents to my close friends so I grew a greater connection with my regular educators. From a young age I had looked up at my teachers and dreamed to be just like them. Every time I am in a classroom that longing to do so grows and it especially grew when I did my pre-internship this semester. was working in a grade two/three split classroom at MJ Coldwell in Regina. Working along side children in an actual classroom made me even more excited to one day be doing it on my own. Although it still is a ways away every reflection I write and every experience I have brings me closer to my dream of being an educator. As a teacher I want to be passionate about the subjects I teach and also engage my students as much as I can. Growing up I loved school and I want to pass on that fulfillment and enjoyment to my students. As I said before I was always very involved at school and as a teacher I want to continue to do so. I hope to lead clubs and coach volleyball, I want to truly engage with my students, their parents and the community.
